Meet the voices leading the Activate Conference.
André Regnier - Co-Founder, CCOAndré is a co-founder of Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO), along with his wife, Angèle. CCO as a movement has been engaged in university evangelization and discipleship for nearly four decades in Canada and abroad.André holds a Masters in Theology from the Augustine Institute.André has led countless international missions, including ones to the Philippines, Poland, and Uganda. He has written three books: Catholic Missionary Identity; Five Tenets to Renew the World; and most recently, Clear and Simple: How to Have Conversations that Lead to Conversion.

Jeff Lockert- President, CCOJeff has served as a leader with Catholic Christian Outreach for over 30 years — including 24 as President. He has guided major national and international initiatives and served on multiple boards focused on leadership, youth, and faith.Jeff is a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team member, part of the Lumen Gentium Forum faculty, and former Chair of the Virtuous Leadership Institute. He writes on virtue and leadership at jefflockert.com.Jeff and his wife Renée live in Ottawa with their six children.

Holly Leonard- Formation Director, CCOHolly was profoundly impacted by the truth that God desired a personal relationship with her, in her final year of university. She found herself asking, “why had I never heard this before??” She responded to a call on her life to commit her plans to a life of full-time mission with CCO that very year.Holly has served across many programs developing missionaries in holiness & mission – from campus, to full-time staff – and now with our partners & alumni off-campus.She lives in Ottawa with her husband Lee and their four children.

Brett Powell- Archdiocese of Vancouver Delegate for Development and MinistriesBrett has served in full-time ministry for 30 years in many environments: parishes, as an executive with CCO, within the Archdiocese of Vancouver, and with Divine Renovation.Brett holds a Masters in Leadership from Royal Roads University, and has extensive experience coaching and consulting with business and Church leaders.Brett and his wife, Andrea, have eight children and six grandchildren.

Benjamin Turland - Parish Manager, CCOAfter discovering the Catholic Church and Jesus Christ during his high school years, Benjamin learned to share the Gospel clearly and simply through CCO in college.Benjamin has served as a missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach for the past 15 years; he holds a Masters of Divinity, as well as an S.T.B. from the University of Toronto.He and his wife, Megan, live as a missionary family passionate about leading others to Christ. Benjamin and Megan live in Ottawa with their four children.

Christy Dupuis - Activate Developer, CCOChristy is a missionary, speaker, content creator, wife, and mother. At 19, Christy had a life-changing encounter with Jesus, and she was overwhelmed with a desire to share Him with others.Christy has served as a missionary with CCO and in parish and diocesan ministry for nearly 20 years. Most recently, Christy has developed Activate, an initiative from CCO to raise up Christ-centered, Spirit-filled missionary disciples.Christy resides near Saskatoon with her husband Dan and their four adventurous children.

Cameron Beare- Alumni Engagement, CCOCameron’s life was changed by a powerful encounter with Jesus during university, shifting his path from the classroom to full-time mission with CCO.For over a decade, he’s helped lead evangelization efforts on Canadian university campuses. Now, through Activate, he’s equipping CCO alumni—and more—to be bold witnesses beyond campus. He believes revival will come through ordinary people living with extraordinary faith, reaching the world one person at a time.Cameron resides with his wife and children in Ottawa.

Jackie Lavery- CCO Missionary & Worship Leader with Verso l'altoJackie encountered Jesus in her first year of university. She had her future mapped out in her mind: finish her degree, become a doctor, get married, have children, and be good along the way so that she will eventually get to Heaven. Through the truths in the Discovery faith study, Jesus broke through her fears and anxieties about the future and showed her that He had a good plan for her and that He had already made the way to Heaven: Himself. She decided to no longer live her life for herself but for Him.Upon finishing her degree, Jackie felt a deep call to give her whole life to the Great Commission, and has found incredible joy and peace in serving as a CCO missionary.

Miguel Galvez- Campus Missionary & Worship Leader with Verso l'altoBorn in the Philippines, Miguel was raised Catholic, but came to dread prayer and going to Mass. At the age of 21, everything changed when Miguel attended World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland.Miguel shares the good news of the Gospel as a CCO Campus Missionary at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
